COMMON QUESTIONS.
Everything you need to know about our technical architecture, standard processes, and billing.
What is the difference between the Lump Sum and Monthly plans?
The main difference comes down to long-term ownership versus short-term cash flow. The $170/mo subscription lets you preserve your cash up front by spreading the cost out while enjoying included hosting and unlimited edits. However, you do NOT own the underlying code on the monthly plan. With the $3,200 Lump Sum package, you pay for the design up front—saving you money in the long run—and you own 100% of your website's codebase, meaning you can host it anywhere.
Do I own my domain name?
Yes, absolutely. You retain 100% ownership of your domain. Even if we purchased the domain on your behalf during setup, we will happily transfer it directly to you if you ever decide to leave. No hostages here!
If I cancel my monthly subscription, do I keep the website?
No. If you cancel your monthly subscription, you will lose access to the website codebase (otherwise everyone would just cancel after month one, and we'd be out of business!). However, you do retain full ownership of your domain name and any branding assets you provided.
Does the monthly subscription end after the 12-month minimum?
No, the subscription is indefinite and continues after the initial 12-month period. Because we absorb the massive upfront cost of designing and building your site for just $170/mo, it generally takes us 2 to 3 years to break even compared to a lump-sum sale. By that point, your website will be generating significantly more value for your business than its monthly cost, essentially paying for itself!
Do you offer E-Commerce sites on the monthly subscription?
No, we do not offer E-Commerce on a subscription basis. Proper E-Commerce sites demand significantly more development, configuration, and structural work than standard business sites. Due to the high initial time and resource investment, E-Commerce platforms are only available as a starting $6k lump-sum package.
Do you use WordPress or drag-and-drop page builders?
Nope! Everything we engineer is built with 100% custom, hand-written code using Next.js and React. We never use WordPress, Elementor, or generic page builders. This is exactly what separates us from the crowd—we put real architectural effort into our sites, resulting in unmatched performance, security, and a completely unique online presence.
Why is hand-written custom code better than WordPress?
Performance, absolute security, lower long-term costs, and zero bloat. Because we don't rely on massive WordPress plugins, your site loads incredibly fast. More importantly, WordPress sites require constant version updates to prevent getting hacked. Our custom sites don't have exposed databases or plugin vulnerabilities, meaning there is simply no backdoor for hackers to barge into. It's built like a fortress.
Can I still get unlimited edits if I choose the Lump Sum package?
Yes! We offer an optional $50/month add-on for unlimited edits and priority support. Just like our standard subscriptions, this add-on requires a simple 12-month minimum commitment to ensure we can viably allocate time for your requests. If you ever cancel the add-on and wish to reinstate it later, a new 12-month commitment will apply.
How long does it take to build the website?
We generally launch your new website within 2 to 4 weeks! The exact timeline heavily depends on how quickly you can provide us with your business information, any specific images you want, and your feedback during the review stages.
Is the $100 fee per page a monthly cost?
Nope! Any additional pages you need designed beyond your plan's included scope are just a flat, one-time $100 fee. You won't pay for them monthly.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Our monthly subscription requires a standard 12-month commitment. However, if you opt for the Lump Sum or E-Commerce packages, there are zero minimum commitments!
What happens if I cancel my monthly plan early?
If you need to cancel your monthly subscription before the 12-month mark, you'll simply pay the base $3,200 website cost minus whatever amount you've already paid in monthly dues. This only applies to the monthly subscription.
What if I cancel hosting on the Lump Sum plan?
You own the code! If you ever decide to cancel your hosting with us, we will immediately package up your website's entire codebase and email it directly over to you so you can host it anywhere.
What if I end my plan and decide to come back later?
We'd love to have you back! If you return after canceling, we'll just start fresh with a new 12-month commitment to get everything spun back up and running smoothly.
Can I edit the website myself?
For standard sites, just send us a text, email, or a quick phone call! We manage everything through a fast internal ticketing system so you don't even have to break a sweat. If you have an E-Commerce plan, however, you have full CMS control and can edit your store directly inside Shopify.
How do you handle late subscription invoices?
Every invoice comes with a generous 7-day grace period. If an invoice remains unpaid after those 7 days, a $25 late fee is applied. We understand that life happens, so we are extremely flexible if you communicate with us! However, if multiple months go by completely unpaid with zero communication, we reserve the right to cancel the contract, at which point the client becomes responsible for the remaining full price of the site.
